Get Certified as an Excellent and Respectful Nighttime Business in Dallas

Apply for the Copper Star

A key pillar of our Good Neighbor Initiative is the means for 24HourDallas to recognize and promote businesses that stand out in Dallas’ nighttime economy.

  • Is your business, organization or venue located within the city of Dallas?
  • Do you host customers, clients, members or patrons at any point between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.?

Our Copper Star program will equip participants with a host of innovative tools that can take your nighttime operation to the next level of safety, inclusivity, and community.

And the program will allow us to honor the true stars of Dallas at night.

Applications for the Copper Star Class of 2024 closed January 31, 2024.

Become a Good Neighbor

On January 25, 2022, D Magazine posted this article by Will Maddox, Managing Editor of D CEO.

The piece provides meaningful context for all elements of our Good Neighbor Initiative and, in particular, what the Copper Star certification program will achieve.

“We want to avoid the punitive law enforcement and establish upfront that we can own our role and be the better public citizen at night.”

Randall White, 24HourDallas founder and president

Maddox writes, “Although much of the corporate and residential growth has occurred in the suburbs, Dallas’ comparative advantage is nightlife. Areas like Deep Ellum, Uptown, and Lower Greenville bring people into the city center from all over the region.”

“When we talk to people who’ve had fun, and their fondest memories have been at night. We are creating a culture where that will continue.”

Bryan Tony, Good Neighbor Initiative Project Manager
